Arrival/Dismissal

Drop-off & Pick-up (LOCATION)

Direction of Travel: This will be updated soon.

Pull Forward: For efficiency and to minimize congestion, please pull as far forward as possible when entering the car rider line. This allows more cars to access the drop-off and pick-up zones.

Drop-off & Pick-up (LOCATION)

Stay in the Car: For safety reasons, please keep your children inside the car until you have reached the area in front of the brick dumpster wall.

Remain in Your Car: It is important that you stay in your car throughout the drop-off and pick-up process. If you need to help your child buckle up, please proceed to the parking lot and park your car. You can then safely exit your vehicle to assist your child.

No Parking Lot Access or Walk-ups: Please note that parking in the school parking lot and walking up to drop-off or pick-up your child is not allowed. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping the car rider line efficient and safe.

Timing: The drop-off line runs from 7:15-7:40. Please do not drop kids off earlier. Pick-up line runs from 2:30-2:50

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to ensure the safety and timely arrival of all students. Your adherence to these guidelines will help streamline the car rider process for everyone. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to the school administration.

At Riverwood, SAFETY IS OUR #1 PRIORITY! We have nearly 760 students who go home each afternoon several different ways (bus riders, car riders, daycare, etc.). Our main goal is to keep each child safe by making sure they are dismissed per their parent’s instructions to a location with appropriate supervision.

In order to allow us to continue to support each parent’s dismissal plan, please continue to uphold the following arrival & dismissal-related procedures:
